Harry Shum Jr. pleased with 'Glee' lines
Harry Shum Jr. admits that he is pleased his character was given lines on an episode of Glee.
Harry Shum Jr. has explained that he was thrilled when he was given lines on Glee.
The actor, who plays Mike Chang, speaks in the ‘Theatricality’ episode of the show and admitted that he was waiting for the opportunity.
“Usually we get the script, like, a week before and you just take a look at it, but then you look at it and say, ‘Hey, I get to talk today!'” he told New York Magazine. “It’s happening slowly and surely a little more for me, so it’s very exciting to be a little more involved.”
Shum added that he was never upset about not having lines on the series.
“I know what my talents are, and at the end of the day I’m an actor who can dance,” he explained. “I’ve always been a person with patience, and I don’t like to force things. I think that’s how my whole career has worked out, so in that sense I’m not upset. I think people are more upset than I am. It’s cool! I know things will happen and it’s just a matter of time.”
